Our Story
How It Started
The passion for speed was born at an early age with slot car track, homemade go-cars and eventually high school hot rods. After a short, 4 year stint as an Air Force crew chief, the passion for racing continued for Dan as he worked as a SCCA Crew Chief and then ventured to the dirt tracks of Northeast Colorado. Here, he began building and racing his own cars. After 40 years of welding and fabrication, the passion and desire for speed and racing still burns bright!
How It Developed
The racing world changed in 2020 with the Covid shutdown. Racers were introduced to simulators as a means to keep competing. The racing world had its first good look at what the simulator drivers had known for years. They found out that racing simulation was a viable, legitimate, piece of equipment, that is able to train, teach and coach a budding driver into a competitive racer. Seeing this progression in racing and reading about young racers becoming real world drivers, (i.e.. Jann Mardenborough) in Racer Magazine, it sparked the interest to find out what these drivers were using for gear.
How Its Going
Dan set out building, what he thought would be, the ideal chassis that was rugged, extremely adjustable, compact and mobile. After 5 years of development, we are now able to offer something exceptional: The BadFast Simulator Chassis. Custom made, each chassis is proudly built, one at a time, in Craig, Colorado. We took a great idea, and made it even better by adding a mobile trailer enclosure with all the racing equipment needed to bring the racing simulation to life. From these great ideas we are now able to offer this great experience in a mobile capacity at events, venues and birthday parties! BadFast Simulators is proud of its foot print in the racing industry and look forward to making memorable experience for beginners and experience racers alike!
